Uh-oh Brother Shock-o-lee

Our wonderful home teachers, Brother and Sister Shockley, dropped by this afternoon right after I returned home from work. Kadence, who's starting to be less and less shy, starting playing right away with Brother Shockley. She started handing him lego's and other toys. When one got stuck, she repeated loudly, "Uh-oh Brother Shock-o-lee! Uh-oh Brother Shock-o-lee!" So funny!

We had an amazing stake conference yesterday. The Priesthood leadership meeting focused on home teaching and our young men. The general session focused on family. We had a truly inspired Stake Presidency who we love immensely.

T-minus six days until the ward split. As President Norman exclaimed, "let the rumors fly!"

We had our monthly Smith Family dinner, this time to celebrate birthdays for Dad, Aubrey, and our Kadence. We had a Chinese New Year's theme where we all made a Chinese dish or two. We had decorations and lucky paper money (dong bao). Our grandparents would have been proud! Kadence came away like a bandit with some fun toys. We love being with our family. There is nothing that brings more joy!

Here's Tayah helping wake up her big sister. Notice Kadence's four pig tails!
