We had a brief tour by the sister missionaries, followed by an informal tour from Sister Hall, our Young Women's President who had served her mission on Temple Square!
We then took a moving, eye-opening tour of the LDS Humanitarian Center. It's amazing the suffering that goes on around the world and the good things the Church is doing to combat them.
The youth (and leaders!) had build up quite an appetite, so we made the long-awaited pilgrimage to Tucano's. The Bishopric considers this restaurant to be holy ground and as dutiful Priesthood leaders should do, we wanted to pass this teaching along to the next generation. They made us proud! The girls even had a chicken heart eating contest. Go figure!
We rode Trax back to Temple Square and took in Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration. What a perfect way to cap the events off. We trekked back home in time for a pizza dinner that was nearly ruined by Tucano's! The youth were wonderful and it was great for bonding. We have even more planned for today and Sunday!
