Will it ever stop?!
Well, after spending nearly two hours with little Kadence last night, she still kept getting up and up after we put her down for the night. Elizabeth and I have tried everything in the world to keep her in bed. As it is, she'll often be found sleeping on the floor (seeing as we've starting "fixing," or locking, her door!). Desperate times call for desparate measures, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Has this ever happened to you and what did you do? Inquiring minds would like to know...

We had some definite staying in bed issues with Kallie. We can chat about it tomorrow and see if anything we did could help you guys! :D Looking forward to seeing you!
I remember in our old ward everyone swore by the book, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. I believe it has lots of good info about different sleep problems and at different ages too. I haven't actually read it but I know lots who have. Also, Some of our good friends had this problem with their boys. They devised a plan using paint sticks. Each boy got two sticks to take to bed. Each stick was worth one TV show or computer time for the next day, or both sticks were worth one movie(use yours for whatever Kadence likes most). If they came out of their room it would cost them one stick, thus losing TV time. At the beginning my friend says that it was most effective when one child lost sticks and the other still got to watch the show, but it worked and they are up a lot less in the night now. Hope this helps. Take care,
Beth
Justin tells me that his parents fixed a board over his brothers crib when he learned how to climb out...but it sounds like Kadence is past the crib for sleeping arrangements....
