Here's our little teenager growing up too fast, reading the "Guide."
Of all the things we did, the girls enjoyed the little rides at the outlet stores the most...simple pleasures!
Tayah is thinking "bring on the roller coasters!"
They enjoyed the merry-go-round...
...and some Dance Dance Revolution. Who knew our girls were into DDR?!
They also LOVED the huge swimming pool. Kadence has started putting her head somewhat under the water.
Just hanging out. If there is something to hang from, our little Tayah is there!
Splashing fun!
Sisters kicking back in the condo.
On the way back, we stopped to attend the girls' first ever BYU Football game. The Cougs scored three minutes into the and K and T were ecstatic with the cheers, the ROTC push-ups, the band, Cosmo, the cheerleaders, and of course, the Cougar Fight Song that they are brainwashed with. We made it through one half and had a great visit with Grandpa and Uncle Darrell at halftime. We barely pulled it off, by the way!
Reasons we don't like time share presentation:
-Contrary to what they say, it is possible to create lasting memories with your children without a $30,000 condo!
-90 minutes stretched into 120, thanks to a talkative salesman and two rambunctious and cranky girls.
-Guilt trips.
-Unsubstatiated statistics behind the amazing benefits of partly owning a condo and how it'll save you money over the long haul...hmmm....
-When the supervisor and then the manager come to sign you off, they both present an even better bargain for a piece of a condo. Why didn't they offer that first?!
-No one likes fakeness. George, our guy, was friendly enough, but did he really care about us?! I think not.
-Did I mention the role guilt plays in these presentations?
-Family reunions are fun! George thought otherwise...
Other random observations:
-Park City is a fun place to visit, but never, ever could we see ourselves living there. Too ritzy, too elitist, and too phony. Even their LDS churchhouses and the local Wal-Mart are fancy!
-Ever notice that the maids are the friendliest, most customer saavy employees at a hotel? After experiencing a rude front desk clerk, having these fun ladies dote over our girls was extremely refreshing. We sure appreciated them.
-Heber Valley is gorgeous. If it wasn't for a fun winter commute, it'd be a stellar place to live.
-We can have the best times doing the simplest things. I love my family more than I can express!
