A Fun Evening Out

One of our goals is to go on more dates together, minus the girls. We do an excellent job, if you don't mind me saying, going on family outings. Many of our "dates" lately have been work or church-related, so they really don't count. Last night did! I had this planned a few weeks back. After dinner at Bajio (can't go wrong there), we headed up to Thanksgiving Point for a Peter Breinholt/Ryan Shupe concert. It was wonderful!

Not a bad photo if we do say so ourselves.

Here's Peter coming out for their first song of the night. We've grown into pretty big Breinholt fans. I had been to a few of his concerts before, including one at this locale. He puts on a really good show--fantastic music, tender moments and a lot of humor. It was fun to hear some takes of songs we listen to frequently. Some other highlights: a medley of 1980's songs mixed into one, a tribute to our soldiers, spontaneously breaking into the Office theme song, and...

...about 150 college students running down to the front to dance and flail during a pair of upbeat songs. Elizabeth had to keep me from pulling her down there (if you found this sentence to be serious, then you really don't know me!). It was quite rainy earlier in the day and I was worried things wouldn't work out. While it dripped a little, it never really rained until right when we got into the car. The only really downers were the three couples in front of us. A little PDA is just fine; this was WAY too much, so much so that it was simultaneously embarrassing, revolting, annoying, and hilarious.

Thanks for a fun night Sweetheart...let's do it again soon!
