Life is best when it's at its busiest! Friday was a great day together as a family, running errands, playing, reading, etc. Later that evening, Elizabeth and I attended our Stake High Priests social that always is a part of Stake Conference. It was a fun evening with a nice dinner, as well as some bluegrass music and clogging. It's a different evening, thanks to the age difference for us. We remember coming to this a few years ago, thinking "we hope none of these HP's die tonight!" Thanks Dad and Donna for being with the girls.
Saturday morning was our annual retreat for the BYU Telefund. It's always an excellent way to get the semester started. We had breakfast, team-building activities and games, and some training. I learned a lot about our staff! We always have a stellar time together. We're having an amazing year and hope this semester will close 2008 in record-setting fashion. We love you guys!
Stake Conference last night was great, with the main focus on raising children. The Harpers from our ward did a fine job presenting. The entire time, we kept commenting that we missed our girls...which we did! Talking about parenting makes us realize how very grateful we are to have these two angels in our lives. We came away glad to know we're doing some things right and committed to improving in some other areas. We then played games with Kara and Scott, who were kind enough to put K and T down for the night.
