Who really labors on Labor Day?!

Usually on Labor Day weekend, it's been a time-honored tradition for the Smith Family to get together at Grandpa and Grandma's house for pear-picking and breakfast. Here are some photos from Saturday morning's fun:

Kadence enjoyed helping Grandpa pick some low hangers...

...while Tayah clutched onto this tiny pear the entire morning, as if her life depended on it!

Grandparents and granddaughters!

Checking out Grandpa and Grandma's corn stalks.

And finally, an actual picture of the pear picking...to prove that's what we did!

Here's the end result!

Other weekend highlights: the Cougars are undefeated, winning 41-17 Saturday. We actually didn't watch this one. In fact, during the ten minutes we listened on the radio we turned the ball over twice for touchdowns! We had a fun Saturday together, included dinner out and a visit with the nearby farm animals. Last night, we got together with the Nelsons at Grandma Nelson's house. Always great to see our family. Last but not least, it was pouring rain last night. It seems like it's been eons since we've had a storm like that and we loved it!
